One day, Willy was walking home. His friends Kenny and Ben were walking with him.
一天，威利走在回家的路上。他的朋友肯尼和本和他在一起。
"It's getting dark," said Kenny. "We should hurry."
肯尼說(shuō)道：“天要黑了。我們得加快一些。”
"You worry too much. Nothing will happen," said Willy.
威利說(shuō)道：“你過(guò)于擔(dān)心了。不會(huì)發(fā)生什么事兒的。”
"Hey, where is Ben?" The two boys looked around.
“嗨，本去哪里了？”這兩個(gè)男孩四下張望。
But they could not see Ben anywhere.
但是他們都沒(méi)有看到本在哪里。
"Maybe he went home," said Kenny.
肯尼說(shuō)道：“可能他回家了。”
"But he didn't say goodbye!" thought Willy. "That's strange."
威利心想：“可是他沒(méi)有說(shuō)再見(jiàn)！有點(diǎn)兒怪啊。”
Willy and Kenny kept walking. Soon they came to a store.
威利和肯尼繼續(xù)向前走。不久之后，他們來(lái)到了一家商店。
Willy stopped to look in the window. The store sold a lot of great things.
威利停下腳步，從窗戶往里看。這家商店買(mǎi)很多好東西。
"Hey, Kenny, do you see..." Willy stopped.
“嗨，肯尼，你看到...”威利住了口。
Where was Kenny? He was gone.
肯尼在哪里？他不見(jiàn)了。
"Maybe he went home, too," thought Willy.
威利心想：“可能他也回家了。”
But he was starting to get nervous.
但是他開(kāi)始不安起來(lái)。
Willy didn't see anyone on his way home.
在回家的路上，威利沒(méi)有看到任何人。
"Where is everyone?" Willy wondered.
威利很納悶：“人都去哪兒了？”
He started walking quickly.
他開(kāi)始加快腳步。
Mr. Brown was not working in his garden.
布朗先生沒(méi)有在他的花園里工作。
His friend, Sandy, was not sitting outside her house.
他的朋友桑迪沒(méi)坐在她家外邊。
Even his aunt Eva wasn't at home.
就連她的姨母伊娃也不在家。
At Willy's house, things were even stranger.
而在威利的家里，事情甚至更奇怪了。
The lights were off. His dog was gone.
燈都是滅著的。他的狗也不見(jiàn)了。
And the door was open. Willy felt afraid.
而且他家的門(mén)打開(kāi)著。威利感到很害怕。
"Hello! Is anyone home?" called Willy.
威利喊道：“你好！有人在家嗎？”
"Surprise!" Willy looked into the living room.
“驚喜！”威利向客廳望去。
It was a surprise party. All his friends and family were there!
原來(lái)是一場(chǎng)驚喜派對(duì)。他的家人和朋友都在那里！
