Samantha and Eric were eating lunch.

Samantha was telling Eric a funny story about their biology teacher.

It wasn't a mean story, but she wouldn't tell the story in biology class.

Eric started laughing and spat out his drink.

"That's such a funny story, Samantha!" he said.
他說：“真是一給有趣的故事，薩曼莎！”
"But I have an even funnier one. Do you know Amelia?"
“可是我有一個更好笑的故事。你認識阿梅利亞嗎？”
Samantha did know her.
薩曼莎確實認識阿梅利亞。
Amelia was a new foreign student.
阿梅利亞是一個新來的外國學生。
She was studying at their school this semester.

Samantha had history class with her.

Eric began his story about Amelia.

It wasn't a nice story. It made Amelia sound stupid.

Samantha felt uncomfortable, so she tried changing the topic.

"What's wrong，Samantha?" Eric asked. "Don't you want to hear the rest of the story?"

"Not really. I don't like it very much," Samantha said to Eric.
薩曼莎對埃里克講道：“不太想聽。我不喜歡這個故事。”
But Eric wasn't happy with her answer.
但埃里克對她的答案并不開心。
"Why not? It's a true story. Besides, you just told me a story about our biology teacher," Eric said.
埃里克說道：“為什么不呢？這是一個真實的故事。況且你剛剛不是還跟我說了我們生物老師的故事嘛。”
"That is different," she said.
薩曼莎說：“那不一樣。”
"Not really. Come on. My story's not that bad. You'll like it," he said.
埃里克說：“沒什么不一樣。拜托。我的故事挺好的。你會喜歡的。”
