Police Officer Applauded for Not Shooting Toronto Attacker
警察因沒(méi)有射擊多倫多襲擊者被稱贊
People around the world are praising a Canadian police officer for not shooting an attacker on the streets of Toronto this week. The attacker had just killed 10 people and injured 14 others by driving a rented van down a busy Toronto sidewalk. Constable Ken Lam, who spotted the attacker getting out of his van, told the man repeatedly to get on the ground. Alek Minassian pointed an unknown object at Lam and shouted at the officer to kill him. The officer refused to shoot and instead turned off his siren and then arrested the man peacefully.
