Ron went brick red.
羅恩氣得臉像磚頭那樣紅。
'There's nothing wrong with your arm,' he hissed at Malfoy.
“你的手臂根本沒問題。”他氣咻咻地對馬爾福說。
Malfoy smirked across the table. 'Weasley, you heard Professor Snape, cut up these roots.'
馬爾福在桌子對面假笑著說：“韋斯萊，你聽到斯內(nèi)普教授的話了，切這些根吧。”
Ron seized his knife, pulled Malfoy's roots towards him and began to chop them roughly, so that they were all different sizes.
羅恩抓起小刀，把馬爾福的根拉到自己面前，開始粗粗地切起來，結(jié)果切得大小不一。
'Professor,' drawled Malfoy, 'Weasley's mutilating my roots, sir.'
“教授，”馬爾福拖長聲音說道，“韋斯萊把我的根切成各式各樣的了，先生。”
Snape approached their table, stared down his hooked nose at the roots,
斯內(nèi)普走近他們的桌子，從他的鷹鉤鼻子往下看到桌子上，
then gave Ron an unpleasant smile from beneath his long, greasy black hair.
然后從他那又長又油膩的黑發(fā)下面給了羅恩一種令人不愉快的微笑。
'Change roots with Malfoy, Weasley.'
“和馬爾福換一下根，韋斯萊。”
'But sir —!' Ron had spent the last quarter of an hour carefully shredding his own roots into exactly equal pieces.
“但是，先生——”羅恩剛花了一刻鐘仔細(xì)地切他自己的根，切得大小完全相等。
'Now,' said Snape in his most dangerous voice.
“現(xiàn)在。”斯內(nèi)普用他最帶危險性的腔調(diào)說。
Ron shoved his own beautifully cut roots across the table at Malfoy, then took up the knife again.
羅恩將他自己切得那么漂亮的根隔著桌子推給馬爾福，然后又拿起了小刀。
'And, sir, I'll need this Shrivelfig skinned,' said Malfoy, his voice full of malicious laughter.
“還有，先生，我需要有人替我剝無花果的皮。”馬爾福說，聲音里充滿了惡意的歡笑。
'Potter, you can skin Malfoy's Shrivelfig,' said Snape, giving Harry the look of loathing he always reserved just for him.
“波特，你可以替馬爾福剝無花果的皮。”斯內(nèi)普說道，嫌惡地看了哈利一眼，這種眼色他是一直保留給哈利的。
Harry took Malfoy's Shrivelfig as Ron set about trying to repair the damage to the roots he now had to use.
哈利拿過馬爾福的無花果，這時羅恩開始設(shè)法修復(fù)現(xiàn)在他不得不用的根。
