Against that time, if ever that time come,
怕的是那個(gè)時(shí)候，那時(shí)候一旦到來(lái)，
When I shall see thee frown on my defects,
你會(huì)皺起雙眉，嫌我是個(gè)障礙，
When as thy love hath cast his utmost sum,
那時(shí)候你已燒盡愛(ài)的每一滴燈油，
Call'd to that audit by advised respects;
你深思熟慮后說(shuō)：讓我們現(xiàn)在分手；
Against that time when thou shalt strangely pass
怕的是那個(gè)時(shí)候，那時(shí)候你漠然走來(lái)，
And scarcely greet me with that sun thine eye,
不再用你太陽(yáng)般的眼晴射出歡迎的光彩。
When love, converted from the thing it was,
那時(shí)候愛(ài)已冰冷，翻臉再不認(rèn)人，
Shall reasons find of settled gravity,
行為粗暴乖張，理由卻總是充分，
Against that time do I ensconce me here
怕的是那個(gè)時(shí)候，我這才惟求自保，
Within the knowledge of mine own desert,
把自己的長(zhǎng)短得失掂量個(gè)分曉，
And this my hand against myself uprear,
為你我舉手宣誓反對(duì)我自己，
To guard the lawful reasons on thy part:
站在你的立場(chǎng)上捍衛(wèi)你的權(quán)益：
To leave poor me thou hast the strength of laws,
要想拋棄我你有的是法律依據(jù)，
Since why to love I can allege no cause.
而我自已對(duì)這一場(chǎng)愛(ài)卻講不出道理。
