Now I'm gonna tell you something else about that study, the corollary to that study

There's a guy named Jeff Gordon at the University of St. Louis Missouri

who's really the king of microbiota and he spawned all these postdocs who have just graduated went down Stanford

They're around the country starting this right now

But what he's been using are these gnotobiotic mice which are mice that don't have bacteria in their intestine

So there's these great petri dishes in which you can inoculate different bacteria and see what happens

And what they found is that you can take these mice, they have terrible colonies in their intestine

and start to feed them well, put them on a diet from Burkina Faso
