第九章 威爾伯說(shuō)大話
A spider's web is stronger than it looks.
蜘蛛網(wǎng)比它看上去的樣子結(jié)實(shí)。
Although it is made of thin, delicate strands, the web is not easily broken.
它雖然由纖細(xì)的絲織成，可是不容易壞。
However, a web gets torn every day by the insects that kick around in it,
不過(guò)每天有那么多昆蟲在它里面亂踢，
and a spider must rebuild it when it gets full of holes.
等到它滿是窟窿時(shí)，蜘蛛只好重新再織。
Charlotte liked to do her weaving during the late afternoon,
夏洛喜歡在下午后半晌結(jié)網(wǎng)，
and Fern liked to sit nearby and watch.
弗恩喜歡在旁邊看。
One afternoon she heard a most interesting conversation and witnessed a strange event.
有一天下午，她聽到一番再有趣不過(guò)的談話，也親眼看到了一件怪事。
"You have awfully hairy legs, Charlotte," said Wilbur, as the spider busily worked at her task.
“你有毛茸茸的腿啊，夏洛，”當(dāng)蜘蛛忙著結(jié)網(wǎng)的時(shí)候，威爾伯對(duì)它說(shuō)。
