Chapter 8 A Talk at Home
第八章 家里的談話
On Sunday morning Mr. and Mrs. Arable and Fern were sitting at breakfast in the kitchen.
星期日早晨，阿拉布爾先生和太太跟弗恩一起坐在廚房里吃早飯。
Avery had finished and was upstairs looking for his slingshot.

"Did you know that Uncle Homer's goslings had hatched?" asked Fern.

"How many?" asked Mr. Arable.
“多少只？”阿拉布爾先生問道。
"Seven," replied Fern.
“七只，”弗恩回答，
"There were eight eggs but one egg didn't hatch
“蛋有八個，可其中一個沒孵出小鵝來，
and the goose told Templeton she didn't want it any more, so he took it away."
母鵝對坦普爾頓說，這蛋它不要了，坦普爾頓可以把它拿走。”
