"We are going to see it. Are you coming?" -"No, not I. I must go to school."

"What do you care about school? You can go there tomorrow. With a lesson more or less, we are always the same donkeys."
“學校有什么要緊？你可以明天再去。多上或少上一課都一樣，我們還是跟驢一樣蠢。”
"And what will the teacher say?" -"Let him talk. He is paid to grumble all day long."
“老師會怎么說呢？”－“讓他說去吧。他就是被雇來整天嘮叨的。”
"And my mother?" -"Mothers don't know anything," answered those scamps.
“那我媽媽呢？”－“媽媽們什么都不會知道的。”這些頑皮孩子說。
