Mr. President of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Liu Qi, Members of the Organizing Committee, Dear Chinese Friends, Dear Athletes,
中華人民共和國(guó)主席先生，劉洪先生，奧組委的成員們，親愛的中國(guó)朋友們，親愛的運(yùn)動(dòng)員們：
For a long time, China has dreamed of opening its doors and inviting the world's athletes to Beijing for the Olympic Games.
長(zhǎng)久以來，中國(guó)一直夢(mèng)想著打開國(guó)門，邀請(qǐng)世界各地的運(yùn)動(dòng)員來北京參加奧運(yùn)會(huì)。
Tonight that dream comes true. Congratulations, Beijing!
今晚，夢(mèng)想變成了現(xiàn)實(shí)，祝賀北京！
You have chosen as the theme of these Games One World, One Dream. That is what we are tonight.
你們選擇“同一個(gè)世界，同一個(gè)夢(mèng)想”作為本屆奧運(yùn)會(huì)的主題，今晚就是這個(gè)主題的體現(xiàn)。
As one world, we grieved with you over the tragic earthquake in Sichuan Province. We were moved by the great courage and solidarity of the Chinese people.
我們處在同一個(gè)世界，所以我們像你們一樣，為四川大地震的沉重災(zāi)難而深感悲慟。中國(guó)人民的偉大勇氣和團(tuán)結(jié)精神使我們備受感動(dòng)。
As one dream, may these Olympic Games bring you joy, hope and pride.
我們擁有同一個(gè)夢(mèng)想，所以希望本屆奧運(yùn)會(huì)帶給你們快樂、希望和自豪。
Athletes, the Games were created for you by our founder, Pierre de Coubertin. These Games belong to you. Let them be the athletes' Games.
各位運(yùn)動(dòng)員，我們的創(chuàng)始人皮埃爾·德·顧拜旦是因?yàn)槟銈兌鴦?chuàng)立了現(xiàn)代奧林匹克運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)。奧運(yùn)會(huì)屬于你們。讓奧運(yùn)會(huì)成為運(yùn)動(dòng)員的盛會(huì)。
