講解
An amputee is someone who has had all or part of an arm or a leg amputated.
Here is an example:
Three American amputee war veterans have climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
The girl's name is Gabi Shull. She is living in the United States.
When Gabi Shull was only nine years old, she had to have part of her leg amputated(截肢) due to osteosarcoma(骨肉瘤), a type of bone cancer that affected her knee.
The cancer was found when Gabi had an x-ray after injuring herself ice-skating.
The little girl had a revolutionary form of surgery called rotationplasty.
And that's exactly what Gabi is doing! She takes pointe, hip-hop, tap, jazz, contemporary and lyrical, dance classes, and she also dances competitively.
She is also a national spokesperson for a children's cancer awareness organization called The Truth 365.
So, work hard for what you want because it won't come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to.
If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive.
Could this girl be any more awesome? I think not.
這一期等了好久才更新,we are very sorry. We miss you all.
Love you, talk to you next time!
