'He's dreaming now,' said Tweedledee, 'and what do you think he's dreaming about?'

特威帝說：“他在做夢呢。你說他在做什么夢？”
'Nobody can guess that,' said Alice.
“誰也不會猜到的，”愛麗絲答道。
'Why, about you!' Tweedledee said. 'And if he stops dreaming about you, where do you think you will be?'
特威帝說：“他在夢見你呢！如果他不再夢見你，你說你會在哪兒？”
'Where I am now, of course,' said Alice.
愛麗絲答道：“當(dāng)然還是在這兒?！?/div>
'Oh no!' said Tweedledum. 'You'll be nowhere. You're only a kind of thing in his dream!
“哦，不！”特威丹說?！澳銓⒉辉谌魏蔚胤健Ｄ阒皇撬麎糁械囊环N東西！
If he wakes up, you'll go out-bang! -just like a light!'
他一醒來，你就出去了--就像一道光！”
'What nonsense!' Alice said crossly.
愛麗絲生氣地說：“一派胡言！
'And if I'm only a kind of thing in his dream, what are you, I'd like to know.'
如果我只是他夢中的某種東西，那么我倒想知道，你又是什么呢？”
'The same!' the brothers cried together.
“同樣的東西！”兄弟倆異口同聲道。

'Shhh! Don't make so much noise,' Alice said. 'You'll wake him up.'

愛麗絲說：“噓！別嚷嚷了，否則會把他吵醒的?！?/div>
'How can you wake him,' said Tweedledum,
“你又怎么能把他吵醒呢？”特威丹說。
'when you're only one of the things in his dream?
“你只是他夢境中的一件東西，
You know very well that you're not real.'
你并不是真實(shí)的，這你很清楚?！?/div>
'I am real!' said Alice, and began to cry.
愛麗絲說：“我是真實(shí)的！”說完就哭了起來。
'I don't know why you're crying,' Tweedledee said unkindly.
特威帝不友好地說：“我不明白你為什么哭了。
'You won't become real that way.'
這并不能使你變?yōu)檎鎸?shí)的?！?/div>
'I know they're talking nonsense,' Alice thought to herself, 'and there really isn't anything to cry about.'
愛麗絲思忖著，“我清楚他們在胡言亂語，不過確實(shí)沒什么好哭的。”
She gave herself a little shake, then said,
她輕微抖動一下身子，然后說：
'I think I must find my way out of the wood now, because it's getting very dark.
“我想眼下我必須要找到走出樹林的路。因?yàn)樘煸絹碓桨盗恕?/div>
Do you think it's going to rain?'
你認(rèn)為要下雨了嗎？”
'Possibly,' Tweedledum said, opening a large umbrella.
“可能的”。特威丹說著，打開了一把大傘。
It was now getting very dark indeed and Alice thought there must be a storm coming.
天空一片漆黑，愛麗絲揣測一定會有場暴風(fēng)雨。
'What a thick black cloud that is!' she said. 'And how fast it comes! Why, I do believe it's got wings!'
她說：“那云團(tuán)又密又黑，來勢多兇猛！我肯定它長了翅膀?！?/div>
'It's the crow!' Tweedledee shouted fearfully.
特威帝嚇得慘叫一聲：“那是烏鴉！”
The two brothers turned to run and had disappeared in a moment.
倆兄弟轉(zhuǎn)身拔腿就跑，一會兒就不見了。
Alice ran too, and hid under some low trees.
愛麗絲也跑了起來，躲到低矮樹林下面。
'It can't get me under here,' she thought, 'but I wish its wings didn't make so much wind.
她想：“我躲在這下面，烏鴉不會抓到我的，但我還希望它的翅膀不要刮起太大的風(fēng)。
It's blowing everything around terribly- and look! Here's somebody's shawl flying through the air!'
周圍一切都被席卷而去--你瞧！有人的披肩都被卷上了天。
