Two young American journalists were shot and killed by a disgruntled ex-employee on live TV on August 25. The cameraman, Adam Ward (27) and reporter Alison Parker (24) from WDBJ7 news in Virginia, were killed while doing a live report. The killer, Vester Flanagan, who had been fired from the news station in 2013, shot himself after state troopers found him and drove him off the road.
