I want to start off today just to take a moment of silence for the victims of the Sichuan earth quake and also for the victims of Boston marathon bombing.

I never thought I would be addressing you, the esteemed members of the Oxford Union.
我從來沒有想過我能對你們，尊敬的牛津辯論社社員發表演講。
Without an guitar, or an erhu, without my crazy stage hair, costumes, but I did perform in the O2 Arena in London last week. I'm not sure if any of you were able to make that.
沒有帶吉他或者二胡，沒有瘋狂的發型和演出服，不過我上周確實在倫敦O2體育場表演了。不知你們當中是否有人參加了。
But in many ways that was similar to what I'm talking about today, that is introducing Chinese pop music to you.
但是從很多層面上講，那天的表演和今天的演講很像，就是將華語流行歌曲介紹給你們。
See, I'm actually ambassador for Chinese pop whether I like it or not, both music and movies.
事實上，不管我愿不愿意，我確實是華語流行歌曲的大使，歌曲和電影的大使。
And today, I'm here to give you the state of the union address.
今天我要向你們發表“聯合情況報告”（注：the state of the union本意為國情咨文，是美國總統分析國情的報告）。
It's not the Oxford Union, it's the union of the east and the west.
所謂聯合，不是牛津辯論社這個聯合社。而是東西方的聯合。
