eg. I try to make it a point to look at the schedule in advance (usually the day before) to see what’s coming up.

eg. If you normally smoke after meals, make it a point to do something else after you eat, like read or call a friend.

3. move away

離開；搬走，移開

eg. While the mother keeps her daughter close to her, she trains her son to move away from her, to develop independence.

母親盡量讓她的女兒躲在自己懷里，可是她卻訓(xùn)練她的兒子離開自己，去發(fā)展獨立自主的精神。

eg. I thought my neighbours opposite would forthwith pack up their mats and bamboos and move away with their bundles, pigs, and children.

我以為我對岸的鄰居一定會立刻卷起他們的棚席和竹竿，帶著他們的包裹、豬還有孩子離開。
