There are few clear areas in which we as a society must rise up united and express our intolerance.
我們作為一個社會，對少數幾個界線清楚的問題，必須同心同德地加以對待，明確表示決不寬容。
The most obvious now is drugs.
目前，這其中最突出的就是毒品問題。
And when that first cocaine was smuggled in on a ship, it may as well have been a deadly bacteria, so much has it hurt the body, the soul of our country.
當那第一包可卡因通過船只走私入境時，就不含是給我們帶來了致命的病菌，它對我國人民的身體和靈魂的危害毫不亞于此。
And there is much to be done and to be said, but take my word for it: This scourge will stop.
對此要做和要說的都很多，但請記住我的話：這種災害必將被制止！
And so, there is much to do; and tomorrow the work begins.
因此，要做的事情很多。明天我們就要開始工作了。
I do not mistrust the future; I do not fear what is ahead.
我既不是不相信未來，也不害怕前面的事物。
For our problems are large, but our heart is larger.
因為我們的各種問題固然很大，但我們的心胸更大；
Our challenges are great, but our will is greater. And if our flaws are endless, God's love is truly boundless.
我們的挑戰固然十分強大，但我們的意志更為強大；而且，如果說我們的缺點沒完沒了，上帝之愛則更是無邊無際。
Some see leadership as high drama, and the sound of trumpets calling, and sometimes it is that.
有人把領導藝術比作一出大戲，比作召喚人們行動的號音。有時確實如此。
But I see history as a book with many pages, and each day we fill a page with acts of hopefulness and meaning.
但在我看來，歷史乃是一部有著許多篇頁的書，每一天我們都要用充滿希望和富有意義的行動寫下一頁。
The new breeze blows, a page turns, the story unfolds.
清風徐徐吹拂，歷史的一頁已經翻動，故事也就此展開了。
And so today a chapter begins, a small and stately story of unity, diversity, and generosity shared, and written, together.
因此，今天就是一章的開頭，這個故事雖小但卻十分莊嚴，它是一個團結一致、多樣并存和寬宏大量的故事，是一個我們共同分享和一起寫下的故事。
