第九十四課 哈姆雷特的獨白
To be, or not to be, that is the question;
生存還是毀滅，這是一個問題；
Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
默默忍受命運的暴虐的毒箭，
or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them?
還是挺身反抗無涯的苦難，哪一個更顯高貴？通過抗爭使其結(jié)束？
To die, to sleep, No more:
死了，睡著了，沒有更煎熬人心的了；
and by a sleep to say we end the heartache and the thousand natural shocks, that flesh is heir to,
要是通過一場睡眠，我們心頭的創(chuàng)痛，以及無數(shù)血肉之軀不能承受的打擊，就此可以結(jié)束，
it is a consummation devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep, to sleep!
那正是我們求之不得的圓滿結(jié)局。死了，睡著了，睡著了！
perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
也許還會做夢——哎，堪堪惱人：
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
在那死的睡眠里，究竟將要做些什么夢，因為當我們脫掉了這凡人的衣缽后，
Must give us pause. There's the respect that makes calamity of so long life;
我們必定躊躇猶疑。人們甘愿在如此長久的災難中苦捱，正是基于這個緣故；
