Once upon a time there was a little boy who made a valentine.
很久很久以前，有個小男孩做了一張情人節(jié)賀卡。
It was a very pretty valentine with a big red heart on it.
那是一張非常漂亮的情人節(jié)賀卡，上面印著一個大大的紅心。
Under the big red heart the boy wrote in large letters, TO MY VALENTINE.
在大紅心下面用大字寫著致我所愛的人。
When the valentine was finished, the little boy put it into an envelope.
情人節(jié)賀卡完成以后，小男孩把它放進(jìn)了一個信封。
Then on it he wrote the address of the little girl who lived on the farm where he had visited the summer before.
然后在上面寫了一個住在農(nóng)場的小姑娘的地址，去年夏天他剛剛?cè)ミ^那個農(nóng)場。
Last of all, he put a stamp up in the right-hand corner of the envelope.
最后他在信封的右上角貼上了郵票。
The little boy was in such a hurry to send the valentine on its journey that he did not stick the stamp on very well.
小男孩匆匆忙忙要把這張情人節(jié)賀卡送上它的旅程，連郵票都沒有貼好。
Two of its corners were loose, but the boy did not notice that.
郵票的兩個角都張開了，小男孩沒有注意到。
Quickly he ran to the mail box at the street corner, pulled down the handle, and pushed the envelope through the opening.
他飛快地跑到了街角的郵箱，拉下把手，透過開口把信封塞了進(jìn)去。
"Please take this valentine to the little girl on the farm," said the boy to the mail box.
請一定要把這個情人節(jié)賀卡寄給那個農(nóng)場上的小姑娘，男孩對著郵箱說道。
Then he ran back to his home.
說完他便跑回了家。
