bide的原意是“停留、持續(xù)”,和abide的意思很接近。abide除了“停留”,還可解釋為“居住”。abide衍生出來的 abode,意思就是“住所”bide one's time表示“不著急、按兵不動,靜待機(jī)會來臨再出擊”。
