講解：
在帆船航行時代，海面上的船只如果遭到風暴或因其他原因而損壞，或者是淡水、糧食等資源短缺，就得靠岸進行補給或修復，這個“補給修復”的動作就是shore up。引申為各種形式的“補強、增援”。
