詞組辨析:
end up with,end up in和end up doing 的區別:
end up with后面的賓語是其主語的一部分；而end up in后面的賓語是其主語（一件事情、一個活動等）的結果；end updoing表示以...結束。
The meeting ended up with a song.
會議以一首歌結束。（a song是主語The meeting 的一部分，即歌曲之后整個會議結束）
We may end up in china.
我們可能在中國結束旅行。
We will probably end up going to a movie.
我們最后可能會去看電影。

beautiful和pretty的區別:
beautiful:漂亮悅人的，是美麗的最普通用詞，語氣最強，不用于男性。fine,handsome,pretty等只表示beautiful的一部分；pretty:美麗可愛的，多用于小孩、婦女和較細小的東西，語氣較弱。
當你你見到一個女孩子，你不認識她。你可以說“oh my god she's so pretty”但是你最好不要說"she is beautiful"因為beautiful大多是指內在的美。
You look especially pretty today.
你今天看上去特別漂亮。
How beautiful the flowers are!
多么美麗的花呀！

make a noise和make noise的區別:
make noise:指一般的噪聲（這時noise是不可數名詞）；make a noise:為引人注意而高聲談論或抱怨。
Don't make noise in the hospital.
在醫院里不要大聲喧嘩。
This scandal will make a noise in the world.
這樁丑聞將轟動全世界。
