【詞語用法】
1.mind有不喜歡，介意的意思，通常我們用來表示疑問句或者否定句。
Do you mind the smell of meat?
2.mind也可用于現在時或if引導的從句中。
Would/Do you mind opening the window?
Do you mind if I smoke?
3.mind后接從句時，可用一般現在時去表達將來的事情。
I don't mind what you do after you leave school.
4.與mind的搭配的介詞不同意思也不同。
There is something in his mind.
他在想些事情。
There is something on his mind.
他在考慮些事情。
5.make up one’s mind后可以加不定式，what和when，to或for加名詞，從句，也可以不加。
He has made up his mind to go.
他已經下定決心走了。
6.mind的一些詞組：have a great/good mind to do表示很想要…have half a mind to do是有些想要…have little mind to do是不大想要…have no mind to do是不想要…；
7.call/bring to mind是回想起的意思。
I cannot call to mind about your name.
我想不起你的名字。
8.give/turn one’s mind to加名詞或動名詞。
He has now given/turned his mind to (studying) English literature.
9.mind后加that從句時，常省略that。
We must mind (that) we don't hurt ourselves.
我們必須當心不要傷了我們自己。
10.Never mind (about)表示“別介意”。
Never mind (about) the difference.
別在意不同點。
11.在句式would you mind...中，后面一般加動名詞，不可加不定式。

note: 語氣比notice強，指不僅注意到，而且記錄下來，側重注意的認真與仔細。
mind: 指用心地去觀察，了解某人或某物以達到某一目的，常用于命令句中。
attend: 一般用詞，側重專心于某事。
remark: 一般指經過思維活動而注意到。

2.She minded very much that he had not come.
他沒有來，她為此十分不悅。
3.I know her face but I can't call her name to mind.
我認得她，但想不起她的名字了。

二.service：n. 服務，發球，服役，公務部門，禮拜儀式，(車輛、機器等定期的)維修 v. 保養，維護，提供服務，支付(借款)利息
【詞語用法】
1.service有時以復數形式出現。
The waitress has offered her services to us.
這個女服務生已經向我們自薦了。
Her services are entirely satisfactory.
她的服務完全令人滿意。
2.one's service常表示不同的意思。
He took her into his service.
他雇她做他的保姆。
句中his service意思為“他的被人服務”。
He offered his services to her.
此處的his services意思為“他為人服務”。
3.civil service,diplomatic service,customs service這些表達方式中，有時前面加the，有時不加，意思也有所不同；
4.當service解釋為“……部門的工作”時，總要有governmental service和military service，前面不帶the。
