《藍(lán)莓之夜》（My Blueberry Nights），是王家衛(wèi)執(zhí)導(dǎo)的首部英語電影。演員陣容強(qiáng)大，裘德洛以及艾美獎女歌手諾拉瓊斯擔(dān)綱男女主角，娜塔莉波特曼，蕾切爾薇姿分別飾演另外兩個女配角。電影講的是年輕的紐約女子伊麗莎白為了忘掉失戀的痛苦，展開了一段旅程，每到一處都會遇到形形色色的人：善解人意的咖啡店老板，酗酒成癮的失婚警察，不再信任任何人的年輕女賭徒……這些都成為她沿途的風(fēng)景。每一步路，都是增長閱歷、尋找自己的過程。電影中不乏經(jīng)典臺詞，其中之一就是：Sometimes we depend on other people as a mirror, to define us and tell us who we are. 有時我們以他人做鏡子，來介定自我、認(rèn)識自我。

電影中，Liz發(fā)現(xiàn)男友移情別戀后，痛苦的想要將鑰匙歸還，可內(nèi)心卻依舊不舍。如同所有被遺棄的人一樣，她也在問“為什么？我不好在哪里？”也許，哪里都好，只是對方?jīng)]有選擇你而已，如同那盤總被剩下的藍(lán)莓派。

Liz: Hey, I need someone to talk to. Do you think he'll pick up the keys? 嗨，我需要找人說說話。你想他會來拿鎖匙嗎?

Jeremy: I don't know. I've had customers leaving keys here for years. Sometimes they pick them up in a few days. Sometimes it takes a few weeks. 不知道。我讓客人寄放鎖匙好幾年了。有時過幾天就拿走，有時幾星期。

Liz: Well, what about most of the time? 大部份時候呢?

Jeremy: Most of the time, the keys stay in the jar. 大部份時候，鎖匙留在瓶里

Liz: Well why do you keep them? You should just throw them out. 為什么留著它們? 應(yīng)該扔掉。

Jeremy: No. No I couldn't do that. 不行。我不能那么做。

Liz: Why not? 為什么?

Jeremy: If I threw these keys away then those doors will be closed forever. And that shouldn't be up to me to decide, should it? 要是我把它們?nèi)拥裟切╅T就會永遠(yuǎn)鎖著。這點(diǎn)不應(yīng)該由我作主，對不對?

Liz: Guess I'm just looking for a reason. 我猜我只是在找理由。

Jeremy: Well, from my observations sometimes it's better off not knowing and other times there's no reason to be found. 根據(jù)我的觀察，不知道反倒更好，有時根本就沒有理由。

Liz: Everything has a reason. 凡事都有理由。

Jeremy: It's like these pies and cakes. At the end of every night the cheesecake and the apple pie are always completely gone. The peach cobbler and the chocolate mousse cake are nearly finished. But there's always a whole blueberry pie left untouched. 就像這些批和蛋糕。每晚打烊的時候芝士蛋糕和蘋果批總是賣清。桃餡餅和朱古力慕斯蛋糕也接近賣完。但總有一個藍(lán)莓批沒人碰。

Liz: So what's wrong with the blueberry pie? 藍(lán)莓派有什么不妥?

Jeremy: There's nothing's wrong with the blueberry pie. It's just people make other choices. You can't blame the blueberry pie. It's just no one wants it. 藍(lán)莓派沒什么不妥。只是人們選了其他的。你不能怪藍(lán)莓派，只不過沒人要它。

Liz: Wait! I want a piece.等等! 我要一塊。

Jeremy: With ice cream? Leave it to me. 加冰淇淋嗎? 讓我效勞。

藍(lán)莓派沒有錯，只是別人沒有選擇它而已。不需要更多理由。總有一天會碰上只喜歡吃藍(lán)莓派，不選擇其他糕點(diǎn)的人。所以，即使現(xiàn)在left untouched, 沒人碰，被剩下，也不必怨天尤人。leave sth.+done意為“讓某物處于某種狀態(tài)”。Untouched為分詞形式的形容詞。類似用法還有，The door was left open. She left her food untouched. 等等。

現(xiàn)在的Liz正處于失戀最痛苦的時間段當(dāng)中，糾結(jié)“reason”，想弄清自己到底哪里不好。認(rèn)真過的人不可能說放下就放下。Liz還需要很長的自我修復(fù)過程。下期，我們繼續(xù)感受王家衛(wèi)的電影，感受《藍(lán)莓之夜》。
