Sad

在臺詞中是making one feel unhappy, pity or regret（令人難過、遺憾或惋惜的；令人悲哀的；讓人難過的）的意思。

用法1: It is sad to do

Eg. It was sad to see them go. 看到他們走了真讓人難受。

用法2：It is sad that +補語從句

Eg. It is sad that so many of his paintings have been lost. 他的很多話遺失，真可惜。

用法3：sad+N

Eg. We had some sad news yesterday. 我們昨天聽到不幸的消息。

It will be a sad day for all of us if the theatre is forced to close.如果那天劇院被迫關門，那對于我們所有人來說是一個悲哀的日子。
