Eric: Your dad just insinuated that Jonathan might be dating someone else. How and why would he know that?
hold up: 阻攔，耽擱了，這里是說(shuō)因?yàn)楦卸鞴?jié)的傳統(tǒng)，我的計(jì)劃就無(wú)法進(jìn)行了。這個(gè)詞組比較常用的一個(gè)句子是Sorry I was late, I was held up at the meeting.（不好意思，我因?yàn)殚_(kāi)會(huì)被耽擱了，所以遲到了）
insinuated: 含沙射影，暗示。這里Bart超強(qiáng)，連Eric的男朋友Jonathan劈腿的事情都查出來(lái)了。
8. Serena: Chuck, I want you word that you will not mention anything about the girl I used to be. I just got Aaron to myself, and if the one thing I have to do to keep it that way is hide my recent history for a while, then that's what I'm gonna do.
get someone/something to myself: 專(zhuān)屬，獨(dú)享。這里對(duì)應(yīng)的是Aaron對(duì)Serena說(shuō)自己現(xiàn)在是one woman man(我現(xiàn)在就你一個(gè)女朋友)，另外還可以說(shuō)date exclusively，這些詞組都表示一對(duì)一的意思。to myself這個(gè)詞組在這集里還出現(xiàn)過(guò)一次，就是Blair打電話給Serena,"I'm so glad to have the house to myself."(我很高興家里就我一個(gè)人了)。

dibs: A claim expressing priority over an object. 對(duì)……有優(yōu)先權(quán)，類(lèi)似中文的“你們不要跟我搶?zhuān)矣袃?yōu)先權(quán)”。可以說(shuō)I got dibs on that last piece of pizza, 也可以用在人的身上，I got dibs on that girl over there.
