1. Sin：罪，這個(gè)字很有典故哦，呵呵，不知道大家有沒(méi)有看過(guò)1995年由David Fincher導(dǎo)演，Brad Pitt ,Morgan Freeman主演的“Se7en”譯為“七宗罪”的影片。這里的罪就是SIN，圣經(jīng)上說(shuō)，人們一生下來(lái)就都有SIN，每個(gè)人都有。“Seven”在宗教上是個(gè)神秘的數(shù)字，這一點(diǎn)在舊約中有最充分的表現(xiàn)。上帝用七天造亞當(dāng)，取出亞當(dāng)?shù)牡谄吒吖窃炝讼耐蕖Ｈ龅┑脑硎怯衅邆€(gè)頭的火龍（《啟示錄》第十二章第三節(jié)寫(xiě)道:“有一條大紅龍，七頭，也戴著冠冕……火龍就是那古蛇，名叫魔鬼，又叫撒旦，是迷惑普天下的……”），撒旦也是地獄中最大的魔王，共有七名墮落天使被稱(chēng)為撒旦，其中最有名的莫過(guò)于路西弗 (Lurifer)，《失樂(lè)園》記述的其實(shí)就是路西弗，其余六名被稱(chēng)為撒旦魔王的墮落天使是：何撒茲勒 (Azazel，電影《驅(qū)魔人》中提及的惡魔。) 、別西人(Beelzubub)、彼列 (Beliel)、亞巴頓 (Abadon)、莫斯提馬 (Mastema)、薩麥爾 (Samael)。到十六世紀(jì)后，基督教更直接用撒旦的七個(gè)惡魔的形象來(lái)代表七種罪惡（七宗罪，the seven deadly sins）：傲慢 (Pride)，嫉妒(Envy)，暴怒(Wrath)，懶惰(Sloth)，貪婪(Greed)，饕餮(Gluttony)，以及貪欲(Lust)。
2. Andrew: "Maybe I could go to Canada, you know, until the statute of limitations is up."
怎么一犯錯(cuò)了，都想逃到加拿大去呢？我還以為只有中國(guó)那些貪官會(huì)選擇逃到加國(guó)去，原來(lái)美國(guó)人也會(huì)有這種想法。CANADA到底是個(gè)國(guó)家呢？還是個(gè)避難所。
3. Danielle: "Do you really think mom and dad are going to foot the bill while you go moose hunting for seven years?"
foot the bill：付款，買(mǎi)單。從Danielle的話(huà)中，我們可以知道，在他們那個(gè)鎮(zhèn)，Statute of Limitations是7年。
Susan: "She's been in a coma ever since she came out of ER. Nobody knows when or even if she'll wake up." Coma:昏迷 ER：我覺(jué)得因該是Emergency Room的縮寫(xiě)。
4. Lynette: "Slow down, you jerk, this is a residential neighborhood."
jerk: an annoyingly stupid or foolish person your jerk:老美常用來(lái)罵人的話(huà)。
5. Lynette: "It pisses me off. I've got four kids, you know. I was up all night reading statistics online. One out of every four traffic accidents happens on residential streets. I hope whoever hit Juanita gets put away for life."
Piss me off:另我生氣，lynette最后句話(huà)的意思是，希望把那個(gè)兇手，關(guān)起來(lái)，關(guān)他個(gè)終身。
6. Lynette: "An innocent woman gets hit by a car and the driver just takes off? I don't think it's extreme."
Take off:這里是逃跑的意思，還可以解釋脫(衣、帽、鞋等)，還有飛機(jī)起飛也可以用take off.
7. Gabrielle: "You should go home and get some rest, eat something. You have a ton of messages from work--Tanaka called; said it was urgent. Carlos, I can stay here with your mother."
Ton:噸的意思，這里的a ton of messages是夸張的用法，美國(guó)人平時(shí)講話(huà)是就很喜歡用夸張的方式，還記得上一集中TOM形容自己的IDEA嘛？那是用了KILLER一詞，也是夸張手法。與a tone of很相象的還有thanks a million,就表示感謝的意思，但多了個(gè)million，也是夸張的手法。
