As we all know, the technological advancements are on the move at an unprecedented speed in the present society. Some people think that as technology develops traditional culture will be lost whereas some others do not think so.
眾所周知，當今社會，技術正在以前所未有的速度發展著。許多人認為隨著技術的發展，傳統文化將逐漸消失。但是許多人并不這么認為。
As far as I am concerned, the technology does harm to the traditional culturein some sense but it can alsoprotect it from dying out. In other words, the technological advancement is a double-blade sword. We need to realize it in a didactic way.
我認為，技術在某種程度上確實不利于傳統文化的發展，但是，技術的發展也可以防止其消亡。換句話說，技術的發展是一把雙刃劍。我們應該意識到這一點。
First of all, the technology is a little harmful to the traditional culture. Due to the emergence of the new technology, some forms of art have been dead for many years. Some cultural heritage has been threatened.Take the jade carving for example. The craftsmanship has been disrupted due to the popularity of the new technology. The works of art has been produced through the machines rather than the hands of the craftsmen.Therefore, the art has lost the most important part of its taste. Most of the artistic works are the products of the factories.
首先，技術對傳統文化的傷害較小。這是因為新技術的發展，許多文化形式已經消亡了許多年。許多文化遺產正在遭受著威脅。我想拿玉石雕刻舉個例子。由于新技術的發展，手工技藝已經遭到了威脅。大部分的藝術品都是通過機器所制造出來，而不是手工。所以，藝術已經失去了以前的味道。大部分的藝術品都是工廠所制作出來的。
Secondly, the new technology helps the traditional culture spread more widely. For example, many exhibits in the Palace Museum have been available visually online. Visitors do not have to go to the museum but just stay at home to enjoy the heritage. It is the technology that has made all this possible. One more example, Peking opera is the national essence of our culture. The plays of the veteran artists have been kept with the help of the technology. We will feel that these great artists are not far away from us and that wecan still learn from their good performances. Nowadays we all read many good books, which have been a mostimportant carrier of our traditional culture. Thanks to all the presses and publishing houses, we can readso many books and they help carry on our culture through their printing technology.
第二，新技術宣傳了傳統文化。例如，人們能夠在網上看到故宮的許多展覽。游客不用前往博物館，在家就能欣賞這些文化遺產。技術使這些成為可能。還有一個例子，京劇是文化的精粹。通過技術，許多老藝術家的表演得到了發展。我們感覺到這些偉大的藝術家離我們并不遙遠，我們還能夠從他們的優秀演出中學到許多東西。現在，我們能夠閱讀到許多書籍，書籍是傳統文化的重要載體。因為出版社，我們能夠閱讀更多的書籍，印刷技術能夠幫助我們傳承文化。
To sum up, we should be aware of the disadvantages of the technology and make the two go hand in hand in harmony. On the one hand, the technology helps to protect and spread the traditional culture. On the other hand, the traditional culture may promote the technology development.
總結，我們也應該意識到技術的害處，并讓文化和技術共同發展。一方面，技術幫助我們保護文化，傳播文化。另一方面，傳統文化促進技術的發展。
