這也是一種常用的方法。這種方法往往是套用英語中最簡單的詞組或句型。如廣告中常用的典雅大方elegant and graceful, 輕柔松軟soft and light. 再如，某位領導的講話要求外交人員“立場堅定、目光遠大、頭腦敏捷、業(yè)務熟練、才華出眾、風格高尚”，黃金祺將原文譯為“A Chinese diplomat should be firm in stand, broad in vision, swift in wit, qualified in profession, outstanding in talent, noble in character ”。原文的六個四字詞組在譯文里換作六個 “adj.+ in +n.” 結構的短語，同樣對稱整齊、簡明扼要，與原文相比，形式不同，功能卻相似。因此用這個結構來翻譯四字詞組達到了異曲同工的效果，既保留了原文的風格，又使譯文自然貼切，具有可讀性。

這種地區(qū)的農(nóng)會和農(nóng)村政權的領導工作，應當由貧農(nóng)和中農(nóng)中思想正確、辦事公道的積極分子去做。
