What Has Modern Technology Brought Us?
現(xiàn)代技術為我們帶來了什么？
Nowadays science and technology is developing so rapidly that people can hardly catch up with its pace. While some people are enjoying whatever modern technology has brought us, there are others who stand againstit.
現(xiàn)代科學與技術正在迅猛發(fā)展著，人們很難跟上它的腳步。許多人享受著現(xiàn)代技術給予我們的一切，但是還有些人對它進行了抵制。
As for me, modern technology surely has both its advantages and disadvantages,but generally speaking, it has brought us more benefits than drawbacks.Firstly, there is no denying the fact that modern technology has made life more convenient and more comfortable. The most obvious example should be the worldwide applied modern technology-the Internet. It provides us with a fast and convenient way of communication, obtaining information and entertainment, which was previously unimaginable. Secondly, with new technology, we can do work more efficiently. The computer and other technological devices can save our time and energy. Thirdly, new technological innovations in medicine in recent years have greatly reduced the rate of infant mortality and prolonged our life expectancy. Finally, some people criticize that new technology has taken awayjobs from people since machines have taken place of human labor, but we should also realize that new jobs are coming up because of new technology.
對于我來說，現(xiàn)代技術有好處也有壞處，但是總體來講，好處大于壞處。第一，毋庸置疑，現(xiàn)代技術讓生活變得更加便利，更加舒適。最明顯的例子就是互聯(lián)網(wǎng)的應用。它給予我們便捷的交流方式，改變了我們獲取信息以及娛樂的方式，這在之前是無法想象的。第二，擁有了新的技術，我們的工作將更加高效。電腦和其他技術設備節(jié)約了我們的時間和能量。第三，最近幾年，醫(yī)學領域的新技術大大降低了嬰兒死亡率，并延長了人的壽命。最后，許多人批評說新技術讓許多人失去了工作，因為機器代替了人類勞動，但是，我們應該認識到由于新技術的發(fā)展，又出現(xiàn)了更多的新工作。
All in all, everything has its advantages and disadvantages, and modern technology is no exception. But the most powerful aspect of technology lies in its unbounded potential to solve the problems that come alongside its well-intended purposes. In my point of view, modern technology is improving our life rather than degrading it.
總結，所有事情都有兩面，新技術也不例外。但是，新技術最有利的一面就在于它能夠解決無限的問題，前提是它的出發(fā)點是好的。我認為，現(xiàn)代技術正在改變著人們的生活，而不是使其變得更糟。
