China's train ticket booking platform 12306 denied the feasibility of disguising oneself as a student to purchase student tickets. This method, it said on Friday, does not comply with the rules, and passengers who do not meet the student ticket eligibility must cancel their tickets and repurchase them.
1月17日，12306官方客服明確否認了這種“偽裝”購票方式的可行性。客服表示，此類購票方式不符合規定，不符合學生購票條件的乘客需辦理退票并重新購買
12306 advised against using this ticket purchasing method. Those who buy student tickets without meeting the criteria may face entry restrictions at the station, necessitating ticket cancellation, repurchase, and a 20% cancellation fee.
客服強調“不建議乘客采用該種方式購票”。若不符合學生資質的乘客購買了學生票，進站時大概率無法通過，需在上車車站退票重新購票，同時還要收取20%的退票費。
If caught using a student ticket fraudulently, passengers may need to pay the price difference and a 50% fine of the difference. Moreover, a record of the fine will be logged in the railway system.
即便僥幸進站，若被乘務員發現違規使用學生票優惠，除了要補優惠差價，還會加收差價的50%作為罰款，罰款記錄也將被計入鐵路系統平臺。
When the 12306 app indicates no available tickets while third-party platforms display availability, this is likely an inducement tactic by the third-party platforms. The absence of tickets on the app signifies the depletion of tickets in the railway ticket pool. It is crucial to scrutinize the "available tickets" showcased by third-party platforms, as they might pertain to tickets for different stations.
