The high school division of the Yinchuan Foreign Language Experimental School in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, organized an award ceremony on Monday to acknowledge a student whose courageous deed of carrying his classmate at the first moment of an earthquake evacuation won widespread attention online.
周一，寧夏回族自治區(qū)銀川市銀川外國(guó)語(yǔ)實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校高中部組織了一場(chǎng)頒獎(jiǎng)典禮，表彰一名在地震第一時(shí)間背著同學(xué)疏散的勇敢行為，該行為在網(wǎng)上引起了廣泛關(guān)注。
At 4:43 pm on Jan 2, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake hit Yinchuan's Jinfeng district. In that critical moment of evacuation, Guo Qing, a second-year high school student, demonstrated remarkable courage and compassion. Upon noticing a classmate with mobility problems, Guo carried the classmate on his back to a safe location.
1月2日16時(shí)43分，銀川市金鳳區(qū)發(fā)生4.6級(jí)地震（4.6-magnitude earthquake）。地震來(lái)臨的瞬間，銀川外國(guó)語(yǔ)實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校高二（6）班的郭慶同學(xué)在沖出教室的一剎那，發(fā)現(xiàn)身后還有一位行動(dòng)不便的同學(xué)無(wú)法自行撤離，便迅速折回，背起這位同學(xué)就往外沖。
The school's surveillance cameras captured the deed. The video quickly attracted the interest of numerous media platforms after Guo's head teacher, Li Hengrui, shared the video online.
這一過(guò)程被學(xué)校的監(jiān)控記錄了下來(lái)。該視頻被上傳到網(wǎng)絡(luò)后，獲全網(wǎng)點(diǎn)贊轉(zhuǎn)發(fā)。
"The recognition of this child will inspire more children to be kind-hearted people," said Hu Qing, the school's principal, during the award ceremony.
學(xué)校校長(zhǎng)胡青在頒獎(jiǎng)典禮上說(shuō)：“對(duì)這個(gè)孩子的認(rèn)可將激勵(lì)更多的孩子成為善良的人。”
Guo was honored as an "Extraordinary Student" and received a prize of 9,000 yuan ($1,228). Additionally, he has been granted an exemption from tuition fees for his remaining years at the school and has been awarded a scholarship to further his studies in Germany.
郭慶被評(píng)為“卓越銀外人”，并獲得了9000元（1228美元）的獎(jiǎng)金。此外，還減免郭慶同學(xué)接下來(lái)在銀外就讀的所有學(xué)費(fèi)，給予郭慶同學(xué)赴德國(guó)公派留學(xué)名額的獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)（高考分?jǐn)?shù)達(dá)到德國(guó)留學(xué)錄取分?jǐn)?shù)線），且郭慶同學(xué)在德國(guó)留學(xué)期間的所有費(fèi)用，由銀川外國(guó)語(yǔ)實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校承擔(dān)。
"I was shocked and scared too when the earthquake happened. But in the chaos, my primary instinct was to never leave my classmate behind," Guo said. "Everyone was safe, and that's what matters."
“地震發(fā)生時(shí)，我也很震驚和害怕。但在混亂中，我的本能反應(yīng)是永遠(yuǎn)不要丟下我的同學(xué)。”“每個(gè)人都很安全，這才是最重要的。”
