Footage of a high-speed train passing through mountain tunnels has been viewed millions of times in posts that falsely portrayed it as an completed Indian railway project in October 2024. The video was actually filmed in Central China's Hunan province.
一條火車穿越山區隧道的視頻廣為流傳，瀏覽量達到數百萬。帖文稱，印度北阿坎德邦的大型鐵路項目已于2024年10月竣工。但事實上，這段視頻是在中國湖南省拍攝的。
"Watch this train speeding between Devprayag and Srinagar in Uttarakhand and feel relieved about where your tax money is being spent," read the Hindi-language caption of a post shared on Facebook on Oct 10, 2024.
2024年10月10日，社交平臺臉書上發布的一篇帖子用印地語寫道：“看看這列疾馳在北阿坎德邦的德沃普拉耶格和斯利那加之間的火車，你就知道交的稅用在了哪里。”
A reverse image search followed by keyword searches on Google found the same video uploaded on TikTok's Chinese version Douyin on Oct 2, 2024. A comment on the post said the video was recorded near Yanbodu town in Cili county of China's Hunan province.
然而事實是，這是位于中國湖南省的一條鐵路，記者搜索后發現，該視頻在2024年10月2日被上傳到抖音，錄制于中國湖南省慈利縣巖泊渡鎮附近。
"The work on this railway line in Uttarakhand is still incomplete and the target is to complete it by December 2025. The track itself is not yet complete," Ajit Singh Yadav, chief manager of the Uttarakhand rail line project, told AFP on Oct 16.
帖文中所指的印度鐵路仍在建設中。北阿坎德邦鐵路線項目總負責人阿吉特·辛格·亞達夫表示：“這條鐵路線仍未完工，目標是在2025年12月前竣工。”
In 2023, an online video showing a train crossing Beipanjiang Bridge in China was claimed to be a trial run on the "world's highest railway track" in Indian-administered Kashmir, which it is not.

The video was viewed more than 273,000 times after being shared on Facebook on March 24, 2023. The post's caption reads: "#Congratulations India!"
這條視頻于2023年3月24日在Facebook上分享后，點擊量超過27.3萬次。帖文的標題還寫道：“祝賀印度！”
