舒婷，原名：龔佩瑜。福建龍海人，朦朧詩派的代表人物。1969年下鄉(xiāng)插隊，1972年返城當工人，1979年開始發(fā)表詩歌作品，1980年至福建省文聯(lián)工作，從事專業(yè)寫作。主要著作有詩集《雙桅船》、《會唱歌的鳶尾花》、《始祖鳥》，散文集《心煙》、《真水無香》等。 舒婷崛起于20世紀70年代末的中國詩壇，她和同代人北島、顧城、梁小斌等以迥異于前人的詩風，在中國詩壇上掀起了一股“朦朧詩”大潮。其作品《致橡樹》是朦朧詩潮的代表作之一。
詩人以橡樹為對象表達了愛情的熱烈，誠摯和堅貞。詩中的橡樹不是一個具體的對象，而是詩人理想中的情人象征。因此，這首詩一定程度上不是單純傾訴自己的熱烈愛情，而是要表達一種愛情的理想和信念，通過親切具體的形象來發(fā)揮，頗有古人托物言志得為意味。

致橡樹——舒婷
If I fall in love with you—
我如果愛你——
I will never resemble clambering trumpet creeper,
絕不像攀援的凌霄花，
To flaunt myself by your high branches.
借你的高枝炫耀自己；
If I fall in love with you—
我如果愛你——
I will never imitate spoony birds,
絕不學癡情的鳥兒，
To repeat simple melody for green shade.
為綠蔭重復單調(diào)的歌曲；
I will not only resemble a wellspring,
也不止像泉源，
To bring you cool consolation perennially;
常年送來清涼的慰籍；
I will not only resemble steepy mountains,
也不止像險峰，
To increase your altitude or set off your dignified manner.
增加你的高度，襯托你的威儀。
Even not only sunlight,
甚至日光。
Even not only spring rain,
甚至春雨。
No, these are not enough!
不，這些都還不夠！
I must be a kapok beside you,
我必須是你近旁的一株木棉，
As an image of tree I stand with you.
做為樹的形象和你站在一起。
Our roots hold tightly in the earth,
根，緊握在地下，
Our leaves touch gently in the clouds.
