Estimated 3 billion yuan worth of cars burnt in Tianjin

The China Automobile Dealers Association says about half of China's imported vehicles come through the port of Tianjin, the world's 10th largest port.
Explosions at the port late Wednesday destroyed almost 10,000 new cars and the total economic loss has been estimated at about 3 billion yuan.
Renault and Volkswagen suffered the most. The Renault Group says nearly 1,500 of its cars were destroyed and its economic loss stands at at least 200 million yuan.
Volkswagen says more than 2,700 of its cars were burned while Hyundai-Kia says more than 4,000 of its cars were ruined. Other automakers including Honda,Toyota and Mitsubishi were also affected, but they did not immediately release any details.
