Global recovery uncertain, over capacity haunted
全球經濟復蘇呈現不確定性
In the first half of the year, China's economy kept a solid 7 percent growth rate. Over-capacity is still a hard nut to crack. Analysts warn economic reforms are facing major headwinds. There is also some uncertainty over the global economy.
China's growth rate was better than expected. But insiders say, the road ahead is still bumpy, given uncertainties at home and abroad are not likely to be ironed out in the short term. China's total trade volume dropped 6.9 percent from a year ago in the same period. And domestically, analysts say, the property market should see increases to boost growth.
The tough problem of over capacity should also see a break through, but it's not as easy.
Analysts also say, there are questions over whether the monetary and fiscal policies would be more aggressive, and whether there would be enough room for ‘reform dividends’.
