US to approve more troops to train Iraqi forces

In a bid to reverse recent gains by the Islamic State, US President Barack Obama appears poised to approve the deployment of more US training personnel to Iraq.
US security officials say Obama is considering authorizing an increase of around 500 troops to boost the capacity of the Iraqi army and Sunni tribal fighters.
