1. get used to...:變得習(xí)慣......
講解:短語(yǔ)中的to是介詞,如果后面跟動(dòng)詞的話,要使用動(dòng)名詞形式,即為:get used to doing。
e.g. This is how we do things here. You'll soon get used to it.
我們這里就是這么做事的。你很快就會(huì)習(xí)慣的。
e.g. Driving on the left is strange at first but you get used to it.
沿著路的左側(cè)駕車剛開(kāi)始時(shí)有些別扭,可是習(xí)慣就好了。
2. a share of...:一份......
講解:share在這里做名詞用,表示數(shù)量。具體是指“(分享到的或貢獻(xiàn)出的)一份東西”。例如:the robber's share of the stolen money的意思是“劫匪的一份贓款”。A fair share的意思是“應(yīng)該得到的一份”,one’s share of的意思是“某人得到的一份”。和動(dòng)詞搭配使用如下:get a share of的意思是“得到一份.....”,give sb. a share of的意思是“給予某人一份......”。
e.g. You should get a fair share of the food to eat.
你應(yīng)得的一份食物吃。
e.g. He did not mind giving his family a fair share of all that he earned, but he did not like to be forced to provide against his will.
他并不在乎把大部分收入拿出來(lái)供家庭開(kāi)銷,但是他不喜歡那種不顧他的反對(duì)要這要那的做法。
e.g. Everyone who helped gets a share in the profits.
凡是幫過(guò)忙的就得到一份利潤(rùn)。
e.g. Your share of the cost is 10.
你這一份費(fèi)用是10英鎊。
3. on one’s own:獨(dú)立地
e.g. John quit his job and struck out on his own as a traveling salesman.
約翰辭掉工作去做旅行推銷員,獨(dú)力闖新路。
e.g. I can't believe he'd do a thing like that on his own. He must have been put up to it by some of the older boys.
我不相信他會(huì)主動(dòng)干那種事, 一定是有些年齡大的男孩子叫他干的。
4. be hard for...:對(duì)于.....來(lái)說(shuō)艱難
e.g. It is hard for anyone to escape from the ravages of time.
任何人都很難逃避時(shí)間的摧殘。
e.g. It's hard for some older people to take all that noise.
一些老年人沒(méi)辦法忍受那些噪音。
