1. look into：考察；調查；研究
e.g. The college principal promised to look into the matter.
學院院長答應研究這個問題。
e.g. We'll look into the matter first before coming to a decision.
我們先研究一下,然后再作決定。
2. at the death of：在......的死亡之時
e.g. We all grieved at the death of such a great and good man.

3. ask sb. to sth. ：邀請某人做某事

e.g. You'll soon go to pieces if you keep on working like that.

Paul looks down in the mouth because she failed in the attempt.
