戴望舒（1905.3.5～1950.2.28）現代詩人。又稱“雨巷詩人”，中國現代派象征主義詩人。戴望舒為筆名，原名戴朝安，又名戴夢鷗。筆名艾昂甫、江恩等。 浙江杭縣（ 今杭州市余杭區）人。他的筆名出自屈原的《離騷》：“前望舒使先驅兮，后飛廉使奔屬 ?！币馑际钦f屈原上天入地漫游求索，坐著龍馬拉來的車子，前面由月神望舒開路，后面由風神飛廉作跟班。望舒就是神話傳說中替月亮駕車的天神，美麗溫柔，純潔幽雅。曾赴法國留學，受法國象征派詩人影響。

Alone holding an oil-paper umbrella,
撐著油紙傘，獨自
I wander along a long
彷徨在悠長，悠長
Solitary lane in the rain,
又寂寥的雨巷，
Hoping to encounter
我希望逢著
A girl like a bouquet of lilacs
一個丁香一樣的
Gnawed by anxiety and resentment.
結著愁怨的姑娘。

她是有
The color of lilacs,
丁香一樣的顏色，
The fragrance of lilacs,
丁香一樣的芬芳，
The worries of lilacs,
丁香一樣的憂愁，
Feeling melancholy in the rain,
在雨中哀怨，
Plaintive and hesitating.
哀怨又彷徨
Silently she comes closer,
她彷徨在這寂寥的雨巷，撐著油紙傘
Closer,giving me
像我一樣，像我一樣地 ，默默彳亍著，
A glance like a sigh;
冷漠，凄涼，又惆悵。
Then she floats past
她默默地走進，走進，又投出，太息一樣的眼光， 她飄過
Like a dream,
像夢一般地
Dreary and blank like a dream.
像夢一般地凄婉迷茫。
Like a lilac
像夢中飄過
Floating past in a dream,
一支丁香地，
the girl floats past me;
我身旁飄過這女郎；
Silently she goes further and further,
她靜默地遠了，遠了，
To the crumbling wall,
到了頹圮的籬墻，
Out of the lane in the rain.
走盡這雨巷。
In the mournful melody of the rain,
在雨的哀曲中，
Her color has faded,
消了她的顏色，
Her fragrance has disppeared,
散了她的芬芳，
Vanished into the void;
消散了，甚至她的
Even her glance like a sigh,
太息般的眼光，
Melancholy like lilacs.
丁香般的惆悵
