1. an appeal to
講解：這是一個名詞性短語，表示對某人的懇求或者是呼吁，注意appeal后面用介詞to。
2. in the nature of
講解：nature在這里的意思是“性質”，in the nature of這個短語的意思就是“具有......的性質的”，引申為“好像”。
例句：His request was in the nature of a command.
