*前面的“…...”部分，是個倒裝句（謂語動詞常為完成時，have或had放主語之前）；后面的“than…”部分，是個正常詞序句（意思是：“前一事的發生，并不比后一事的發生早”，但是主要的新信息是后一事）。
No sooner had I sat down than the phone rang again.
我剛一坐下，電話鈴就響了。
*前一部分的主語，也可以提前到no sooner之前。
No sooner said than done.
說干就干/立刻就做。
