【Origin 來源】

不是很確定；但大概的說法是：與19世紀一位英國的首相有關。這位首相的名字叫Robert Arthur Talbot Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury…很長，照片如下，名字和胡子一樣多。

這位又叫做Bob. 1887年的時候，愛爾蘭需要一位首席大臣，于是這位首相就把自己侄子安排上了。

這個裙帶關系還是讓不少人很吃驚，于是就有了Bob's your uncle. 這樣的表達。意思就是，不論做什么，叔叔Bob才是起決定作用的那一位。
