Anne: I could see that people in China really have this deep love for porcelain.
安妮：看得出來中國人對于瓷器的喜愛根深蒂固。
Stephen: You know what, I am not exactly surprised at all this beautiful colors and shapes, but when I first saw a plate all in white with no pattern on it, I thought this is not so special. Yet when I looked closely, it has got this thin layer of floral patterns on the surface, but almost imperceptible. They really love it.
斯蒂芬：你知道嗎，其實我看到各種顏色、各種形狀的瓷器并不驚訝，但是在我剛看到一個純白沒有花紋的盤子的時候，我想這也沒什么特別嘛。然后我又仔細看了一下，盤子上有一層淡淡的花紋，幾乎很難看到。他們確實是喜歡瓷器。
Anne: That's why the country is called China!
安妮：這就是為什么這個國家被稱作“瓷國”嘛。
Stephen: They've got these royal kilns with their specialties.
斯蒂芬：他們還有各有所長的官窯。
Anne: I think the most famous porcelain is from a town called Jingde Zhen.
安妮：我覺得最著名的瓷器產自景德鎮。
Stephen: That's where the Europeans in the 18th century got their porcelain.
斯蒂芬：18世紀歐洲人得到的瓷器就產于此地。
Anne: Which kind of porcelain do you like best?
安妮：你最喜歡哪種瓷器呢？
Stephen: My favorite is the blue and white porcelain of the Shunzhi period. They look so natural.
斯蒂芬：我最喜歡順治時期的青花瓷，這種瓷器看起來非常自然。
