Patricia: You look upset. What's the matter?
帕特麗夏：你看起來很不開心，發生什么事了？
Joseph: Oh! What a result! He was such a phenomenon! I had hoped after what happened in 2008, he would make a comeback this time!
約瑟夫：哦！結果竟然是這樣！他曾經那么出色！2008年發生了那樣的事之后，我還在希望今年他能卷土重來呢！
Patricia: Calm down. Who are you talking about?
帕特麗夏：冷靜點，你到底在說誰？
Joseph: How could you been so indifferent? Liu Xiang, of course. He was starting fine, despite his previous injuries, but he tumbled at the first hurdle and crashed to the ground. And then he hopped through the race and kissed the last hurdle!
約瑟夫：你怎么能這么無動于衷呢？我當然是在說劉翔啊。雖然之前受了傷，開始的時候他很好，但是在跨第一道欄的時候他摔倒在了地上。然后他單腳跳著走完了全程，并親吻最后一道跨欄。
Patricia: Oh, it couldn't be helped, so don't be so disappointed.
帕特麗夏：這也是沒辦法的事，所以就不要失望了。
Joseph: No, I'm not. One couldn't have done better. He was the hero when he first achieved victory in the Athens Olympics, thus becoming the first Chinese to win in men's track and field. He is still the hero now even though he must leave the field.
約瑟夫：不，我不是失望。他已經做到最好了。在雅典奧運會上取得勝利，成為在男子田徑項目獲得冠軍的第一個中國人的時候，他是英雄；現在即便他不得不離開賽場，他也仍然是英雄。
Patricia: I think he did his best. We couldn't ask more.
帕特麗夏：我認為他已經盡全力了，我們不能再要求更多。
