Judy: Wow, what's this? Is it yogurt, Simmon?
Simmon: No no no, I think you would be confused. It is dong-dong-ju, one of the greatest traditional alcoholic drinks in South Korea. It's thick, almost with the same texture of yogurt or rice. Have a taste of it. How do you feel it now?
Judy: Extremely sour.
Simmon: Oh, probably. But actually it's pretty smooth, very good for your stomach. A calming effect, much like yogurt does for me.
Judy: Mmm, it tastes only a little sour now. I think I get used to it. Will we be drunk after drinking the whole bowl?
Simmon: Don't worry. I can't feel any effects. It's not as strong as some Korean rice wines. So, help yourself with dong-dong-ju.
Judy: Thanks, Simmon. I propose a toast to wish you happy birthday. Cheers!
