Jane: What is this, the white and soft one in a bowl?
簡：這是什么，碗里那個又白又軟的東西？
Ping: Oh, I see. It's tofu pudding.
萍：哦，我明白了。那是豆腐腦。
Jane: Amazing, isn't it?
簡：好神奇呀，不是嗎？
Ping: It's soft tofu. In the northern part of China, people like eating it with soy sauce. But this dessert in south China, especially in Sichuan is made without sugar, but with chili oil or Sichuan pepper.
萍：這是嫩豆腐。在中國北方，人們喜歡拌著醬油吃。不過在南方，尤其是四川，人們吃的時候不放糖，而是用辣椒油或四川辣椒。
Jane: Sounds good! It reminds of a Taiwanese TV serial. People love eating it in the morning.
簡：聽上去不錯呀！這讓我想起了一部臺灣電視劇。劇里面很多人喜歡早上吃豆腐腦。
Ping: Yes. When the weather is hot, it's served with cold ice.
萍：是呀，天熱的時候，豆腐花可以拌著冰吃。
Jane: Oh, I see. It's served with hot water in coldness, isn't it?
簡：哦，我明白了。天冷的時候就是用熱水泡著，是嗎？
Ping: Right! Let's have a try.
萍：猜對啦！我們去嘗嘗吧。
