bake是“烤，烘烤”的意思，可以用來表達“烤蛋糕，烤面包”等。baked是bake的被動式，half-baked意思就是只烤了一半的，半生不熟的“。這個詞語用來比喻一個想法或設計未經過嚴密通盤的思考，也就是”幼稚的，思慮不周的，未完成的“，相當于漢語里的”半吊子“。所以一個不周全的計劃或項目就可以叫做a half-baked plan or project。
