2. Go nowhere fast 毫無(wú)進(jìn)展
Nowhere這個(gè)詞是由no和where兩個(gè)詞組成的，所以Go nowhere意思當(dāng)然是“哪兒都不去”。而fast這個(gè)詞的意思是“快”。Go nowhere fast比喻費(fèi)了九牛二虎之力去做一件事，卻毫無(wú)進(jìn)展。
For example:
I've been working on this problem all evening and I'm going nowhere fast! Could you help me out, because I just don't know how to do it.
我一晚上都在絞盡腦汁地解那道題，卻毫無(wú)進(jìn)展，你幫幫我好嗎？因?yàn)槲覍?shí)在不知道怎么解。
