施耐庵，元末明初的文學家，本名彥端，祖籍：江蘇興化。博古通今，才氣橫溢，舉凡群經諸子，詞章詩歌，天文、地理、醫卜、星象等，一切技術無不精通，35歲曾中進士，后棄官歸里，閉門著述，與拜他為師的羅貫中一起研究《三國演義》《三遂平妖傳》的創作，搜集整理關于梁山泊宋江等英雄人物的故事，最終寫成“四大名著”之一的《水滸傳》。

　　施耐庵于元延祐元年（1314年）考中秀才，泰定元年（1324年）中舉人，至順二年（1331年）登進士不久任浙江錢塘縣尹。施耐庵故里江蘇興化新垛鄉施家橋村有墓園、紀念館。有《施氏家薄譜》存世。
