《我如行云獨自游-》是華茲華斯抒情的代表作之一，寫于1804年。據說此詩是根據詩人兄妹倆一起外出游玩時深深地被大自然的嫵媚所吸引這一經歷寫成的，體現了詩人關于詩歌應描寫"平靜中回憶起來的情感（emotion recollected in tranquility）這一詩學主張。全詩可以分成兩大部分；寫景和抒情。詩的開篇以第一人稱敘述，格調顯得低沉憂郁。詩人一方面竭力捕捉回憶的渺茫信息，另一方面又覺得獨自漂游，可以自由自在地欣賞大自然所賦予的美景。他把自己比作一朵流云，隨意飄蕩，富有想象的詩句暗示詩人有一種排遣孤獨、向往自由的心情。在他的回憶中，水仙花繽紛茂密，如繁星點點在微風中輕盈飄舞 。
